A Day In My Life Of Basket Making

Dear Diary,A day in the life of Basket Making

I am a basket maker in the colonial life,if you would like to be a basket maker like me you would need to know that colonists like need a lot of baskets because we don’t have any cans, plastic bags,or cardboard boxes. So you will have a lot of responsibility duty. You will have to cut logs into long strips called splints, then soak them so they would turn soft and bendable, then use a mallet to flatten them. After that you’ll have to separate the layers of wood with a large knife and change the tightness, wave, size, depending how the basket would be used, but you as the worker you’ll have to have nimble fingures. You should know that a lot of people make baskets at their own mobile homes.
